Living Waters was a very special painting commissioned by the Calgary ZOO in 2023. I was asked to represent Canadian water systems while providing both an under water and above water perspective. The mountain range in the distance features melting snow caps and glacier fed water systems that flourish during the spring melt. Vibrant colours move throughout the piece while still accurately representing the foliage and wildlife in the Canadian Rockies. This piece was a huge accomplishment. This paintings is even more special to be given to a place that supports wildlife conservation AND happens to be a past place that I worked as a Special Events Coordinator.
