Creature Comfort - the OG painting of this entire series! This painting was all about embracing uncomfortability. The whole reason I started this series is because I was feeling TOO comfortable in my work. This was a pivotal moment where I knew I needed to change direction and try something new in order to keep that creative spark alive. I wanted this piece to be slightly uncomfortable for the viewers who are squeemish with snakes, but to also show how you can lay with your uncomfortability and learn to work with it.

This series was inspired by the need for a change in my style of work. I dedicated the month of March to create a series of work with no expectations in mind other than to explore a side of me that has been felt a little ignored lately - my childish side. I wanted to tap ino the whimsical world of nature that has inspired so much of who I am ever since I was a child growing up on a flower farm. I’m so happy with the outcome, and I have a feeling this wont be the last time this style of work will be created :)
