This piece is very special to me. It was a breakthrough in the amount of detail I started to include in my work. Each layer was meticulously created, with the next layer in mind. I use a glazing technique which allows each layer to show through and create depth and texture. The bison has been an animal I wanted to create for a while, but I knew that I had to work on my technique before I started. I love how it expresses the bond between a mother and baby, while also giving off that moody nature vibe that I love so much.

I pulled my images from several different sources, and combined them to create this piece. This is not an exact reproduction of any one photo., which makes it even more unique and special!
