This is my favourite piece of this series! I explored a new colour pallet that complimented itself so well with the landscape. I wanted to depict a transitional stage between two seasons. The trees are still turning their various shades of yellow, orange and brown before accepting their winters sleep. However, a deep freeze has occurred, leaving a thin layer of ice on the shorelines edge. What a magnificent time to post up in a cozy cabin and watch nature unfold before your eyes!
