You are exactly where you’re supposed to be.

I often think about this when I doubt myself. It’s so easy to get wrapped up in everything that you have to do in order to get one step further to being this “better version of yourself”. A better artist, sell more, make more, be more. This last year, I needed to drop the idea that creating work would foster external validation. I needed to make work for myself, and in turn, that work ended up speaking more strongly to others then I ever could of imagined.

You’ve Arrived is meant to represent that very moment when you feel like your journey has brought you to this exact moment in time, and you feel like you have all of the validation you need from within yourself. Like a canoe pulling up to shore after a long journey on water. What greets you is a welcoming sense of home and a chance to finally take a moment to appreciate where you are.

I haven’t had many of these moments through my art journey this past year which is understandable as I try to grow this business. What I have done is try to be more cognizant of feeling this way. Its not a race, its not a popularity contest and its certainly not a feeling that I can gain externally.
