A playful little piece created simply to showcase Alberta’s magpie birds. These colourful and intelligent birds are known for their calls and songs. These birds are known to mimic sounds around them and display a great variety of noises used to socialize. I captured there luminescent feathers by using metallic blue paint on the wings and tail. When the light catches it just right, the magpie shimmers!
