Where does your mind escape to when it needs to feel calm?
For me, its almost always an image like this. Somewhere remote, quite and cozy. It’s what we all need from time to time. I had this vision in my head for some time, and I’ve been slowly working my way up to creating this large piece. Its been such a wonderful journey to paint my thoughts and evoke true emotion into my work. As the days get colder and my favourite season is on the horizon (Winter!), I felt like this was the perfect time to shift my colour pallet to these cooler, calming tones. The warm glow of the cabin was the finishing touch it needed.
So…who wants to go there with me?!
