Everything Now - Seasons of Life #1
Everything Now - Seasons of Life #1
40" acrylic painting on round birchwood panel. Varnished and ready to hang.
The first painting of my newest series called "Seasons of Life"..
“Everything Now” captures the precise, transformative moment when life pivots—when everything shifts, and nothing will ever be the same again. It is that surreal instant when time feels both suspended and infinite, as new emotions flood in—emotions you never knew you were capable of feeling. This painting is about that profound transition: the emergence of new life, new meaning, and a new version of yourself.
At the heart of the composition, a black bird—mid-flight—bursts through a dense, kaleidoscopic explosion of flowers. Its wings are outstretched, cutting through the lush foliage with power and grace, symbolizing freedom, release, and the beginning of something deeply personal and transformative. The dark feathers of the bird are rich with detail, a nod to the complexities and unknowns of this journey.
Surrounding the bird is a riot of blooming flora: lush, intricate, and vibrant, representing the fertility of thought, emotion, and creation. The sheer abundance of flowers speaks to overwhelming possibility and the blossoming of life in every direction. The palette ranges from deep purples and midnight blues to golden yellows and fiery oranges—each hue echoing a different emotional frequency, from awe to fear, from joy to surrender.
Golden flecks trail from the bird like stardust, merging into the coppery, ethereal background—suggesting that something cosmic and eternal is at play here. A monarch butterfly gently balances among the petals, a quiet symbol of transformation and fragile beauty.
This work is an ode to a deeply personal moment: the realization that you are bringing new life into the world. It's a visual journal of the emotional landscape that comes with that revelation—the excitement, the uncertainty, the wonder. It acknowledges the ambivalence that once existed, and the clarity that has since taken its place.
What once felt hypothetical or distant is now alive, blooming, undeniable. It is no longer a question or a future possibility—it is everything now.
